Events and Celebrations

We remembered The Fallen during Remembrance Day by holding two minutes silence at 11a.m. Several Year 6 children took part in the Remembrance Service in Newton Heath.

Year 6 held their own service at 11.30 with Fr Denneny. The children recited 'Flanders Fields' together and three pupils read their fantastic war poetry created in class.

Finally, each child planted their remembrance cross among the flower bed in the playground.  The service was respectful and beautifully celebrated by all of the Year 6s.

On St George's Day the school kitchen prepared a traditional English Sunday lunch. The children feasted on roast beef and Yorkshire pudding as well as apple pie and custard! What a delicious treat!

The EYFS enjoyed an English picnic to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday! They spoke about Her Majesty's role and what she has done for our country.

Our School Council members and School Chaplains are elected through a democratic voting system. Every child equal opportunity to apply and the counting of the votes is overseen by some Year 6 children.
