Christ the King has had lots of sporting success so far this year. The children in both Key Stages One and Two have competed in many different activities including: cross-country, triathlon, football, basketball, skateboarding, swimming galas and dance and drama lessons. The children in Reception have enjoyed learning how to ride a bike during the Balance-ability sessions. Here are some photographs of our successful teams.
Year 5/6 Triathlon team with the Brownlee Brothers. The children had to swim, run and cycle to the finish line.
Both the Year Four Boys’ and Girls’ football teams were highly successful at the Manchester United Tournament held at the Cliff Training Ground.
Congratulations to the Year 5/6 boys’ football team. They are currently in first place in the Boys’ Football League with one game left to play. They also enjoyed taking part in the Manchester City tournaments at the City Academy during the Spring Term.
The boys’ basketball team finished runners up in the Basketball Tournament at St. Matthew’s.
Christ the King is currently in first place in the St. Matthew’s Primary Cluster competition.
The cross-country team won the St. Matthew’s Competition and also qualified for the Manchester Finals at Philips Park.
The children in Reception have enjoyed taking part in a Balance-ability club and many children can now competently ride a bike unaided- well done!
