Christ The King RC Primary School

Caritas Ambassadors

We know that Jesus has called us to love others and to help others. At Christ the King, we try to follow this call. Our Caritas Ambassadors are activists for social change, and are ambassadors of the Catholic Social Teaching agenda at Christ the King.

Our Caritas Ambassadors were trained and commissioned by the Diocese of Salford.

Our Caritas Ambassadors for 2023-2024 are:

Grace, Aksah, Aidan, Favour, Annabell, Mikey, Helena, Tyrone, Mitchell and Miley

The team is coordinated by Mrs Malone (Deputy Headteacher)

Our role:

  • To promote and develop social action projects within the school, parish and local community
  • By demonstrating “faith in action” they can raise awareness of Caritas within the Salford Diocese

Led by our Caritas Ambassadors, we take part in many fundraising events across the year.  We recognise our responsibility to help all of our brothers and sisters in God's world.

Our Caritas Ambassadors came up with the image below to show the reach of our care for others:

As part of our care for our school community, we have our own food and uniform bank, organised by the Caritas Ambassadors. This is supported by families and staff within the school, and is accessed regularly by those in need within our school community.  We are very grateful for the generous support that our school community provides.

You can find out more about our support for Charities via Class Dojo and the Newsletter.
