Note that due to Covid-19, National Curriculum assessments were cancelled for the academic years 2019/20 and 2020/21. Therefore, data regarding pupil performance over this period is unavailable. Our 2018/2019 performance measures can be accessed at the bottom of this page.

Early Years Foundation Stage
Good Level of Development: Children are measured to have a Good Level of Development if they have reached at least the expected level in:
- The Early Learning Goals in the Prime Areas of Learning, which includes Personal, Social and Emotional Development, as well as Physical Development, Communication and Language.
- The Early Learning Goals in the specific areas of Maths and Literacy.
Prime Early Learning Goals: Children are assessed in their Personal, Social and Emotional Development, as well as Physical Development, Communication and Language.
Specific Learning Goals: Children are assessed in their knowledge of Literacy; Maths; Understanding of the World; and Expressive Arts and Design.
Year 1 Phonics
Phonics Screening Tests are short reading tasks carried out by class teachers on a one-to-one basis. These identify children who need extra help so that the school can give them more support to improve their reading skills.
Key Stage One
At the end of Key Stage One, children are assessed in Reading, Writing, and Maths. This is carried out using National Curriculum tests as well as the teachers' own judgement after considering pupils’ work in all of their lessons.
Key Stage Two
At the end of Key Stage Two, Year 6 children sit National Curriculum tests in Maths, Reading and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. Children are also assessed in Writing based on their class teacher’s judgement of their work over the course of the year. Results are shared with parents/carers at the end of the Summer Term.

The government will not publish school level data for the 2021/2022 academic year. They have archived data from the 2018 to 2019 academic year because they recognise that the data from that year may no longer reflect current performance, however, this is something that schools are still required to share on their websites.
