Christ The King RC Primary School

First Access Instrumental Tuition

First Access is one of the key initiatives of the government’s National Plan for Music Education. The aim of the First Access is to introduce pupils at Key Stage 2 to learning an instrument.  At Christ the King the children are given this opportunity in Year 3 for at least once a term.  Currently the children in Years 3 and 4 are learning to play the descant recorder.  Year 4 have been given this opportunity as they were unable to access this last year due to Covid-19 restrictions.  Below on this web-page there are some photographs of the Year 3 and Year 4 classes who take part in the First Access lessons.
